Microsoft-WebCamp-Lisbon-2015

On December 2, Microsoft Portugal gathered around 350 attendees in Lisbon for Microsoft WebCamp Lisbon event. The event was designed for everyone who loves the Web and wants to know how to use the new Web platforms, tools and standards to bring awesome creations to life. The event was a huge success and, besides serving all attendees 510 waffles (Cloud waffles of course), it generated 25 new recordings that can be enjoyed online. This year’s event included speakers like Chris Heilmann and Jon Galloway and a total of 1170 minutes of technical content distributed by 3 Tracks (ASP.NET, Web Full Stack, Cloud & Tools).

Once again, our team got invited to lead some sessions. Our two speakers were: José António Silva [RD] and Sandro Pereira [Azure MVP].

Microsoft Azure Logic Apps

In this session, Sandro gave an introduction to the new Azure Integration features: Logic Apps and also a glimpse about API Apps. These are still in preview-mode but he demonstrated how we can start using these new features, and explained how we can use Azure Logic Apps to automate business processes without using code. Other scenarios were discussed, including integrations with other Azure services like EventHubs and Stream Analytics to add Insights and Telemetry through Power BI. The full session recording can be found here:

All the sessions were recorded and are now available on Channel9.
